Omari's Produce

Omari's Produce
Omari’s Produce is a wholesale distributor of freshly grown, high quality fruits, vegetables and nuts, grown and harvested in the state of Georgia.  Georgia is one of the most productive agricultural states in the country.  We purchase high quality fruits, vegetables and nuts from several large and small farms (Titshaw Watermelons, Jibb’s Vineyards and Ellis Pecans, among others).

Our objective is to serve these “food deserts.”  This term  commonly used to describe communities with limited or no access to healthy foods including fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy products. According to News One, they report , “Atlanta ranks in the top 10 among food deserts in the United States.”   According to the USDA, 23.5 million Americans live in food deserts, including 6.5 million children!

Omari’s Produce (for profit) and the Malcolm Omari Hill Scholarship Funds, Inc. (non-profit) have partnered to serve these areas.  We will provide high quality products, vegetables and other products at or below market price.

Also,  through our collaboration with Jibb’s Vineyards  located in Byronville, GA., fresh produce will be donated to the Malcolm Omari Hill Scholarship Fund, Inc., at the end of the growing season.  This produce will be sold to provide Free Instructional Safe Driving Classes for teens and young adults.  Our classes  are “instructional” only and FREE!  We do not place students behind the wheel.

When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the Lord your God.  -Leviticus 19:9-10
